Liz and I got great use from this compact lantern camping in South Dakota, while exploring the Black Hills and Badlands. It was very handy for late night cooking and lighting up our path around the campsite.

When it comes to brightness, lumens matters. This one is at 300 lumens, while many others are at 150-200 lumens. Its telescopic function is also the on/off switch which prevents accidental battery drainage. It has hanging handles on top and magnets on the bottom which makes this flexible in many environments. At $10-$12/ea this compact lantern is well designed and RAD approved!
